Academics and Curriculum

St. Bernard Catholic High School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). All Advanced Placement courses are fully certified by the College Board. The curriculum is certified college-preparatory as defined by the University of California A-G standards.

St. Bernard offers an academic curriculum featuring a wide array of courses designed to meet the needs of the AP/Honors student and the college-bound student.  All courses follow the California State Educational Standards for Curricular Content. AP courses follow the Advanced Placement Curriculum of the College Board.

Because 98% of St. Bernard graduates continue their education at the college level, the required curriculum is aligned with the University of California standards for admission and is designed to meet college admissions requirements for Universities and Colleges in the state.
